1983 R100 RS

For Sale is my fully restored 1983 R100 RS. I purchased the bike in 2011 and 10 years later I decided to undertake a complete "frame off" restoration.
The engine block was totally dismantled for a thorough cleaning and reassembly to spec. The top end was rebuilt with 1000cc (9.5 CR) pistons (lightened wrist pins) running in nikasil cylinders. The cylinder heads are rebuilt `77 twin spark. The new engine parts include: main bearings, a new 324 cam, 86 rocker arms, big end rod bearings, timing chain - sprockets - guides, NOS lifters, oil pump O-ring, clutch assembly, stator, diode board. Other new engine parts include: an aftermarket starter, gaskets & O-rings, EME solid diode board mounts, EME electronic ignition unit, piston rings, plug wires, KEIHAN SS headers and mufflers, CC Products extra capacity oil pan.

Powder coated parts include: the frame, sub-frame, swing arm, front end lowers, disk brake rotor carriers, bar risers, seat cowl grab rail, front foot pegs, center stand, head light bucket, front engine cover, timing chest cover, starter cover, and air box have been powder coated using satin black .
The wheels, side stand, shifter & rear brake lever where powder coated a metallic gray.
The bike is painted BMW paint code: 554 (Dunkle blue and silver Metalllic) with hand pinstripes.

Chassis improvements include: NOS drive shaft, rebuilt transmission, billet top tree, new K75 bars, rebuilt calipers, new brake pads & pins, new fork seals, new fork tubes & Race Tech fork springs, new bearing at the front and rear wheels, steering head, and swing arm, new 13mm master cylinder, new SS front brake line, new handlebar switches, new Continental CONTI GO tires, IKON rear shocks, new DURACELL battery, and an “as new” BMW ¾ seat along with a Sargent Dual Seat (including both seat cowls). The bike is currently set up with OSHMO rear sets, which can be replaced with the original pegs and shifter, all powder coated. All the gauges work as they should. The speedometer was rebuilt a set to “0” and the speedo gearing matches that of the 33/11 final drive.

I've ridden the bike 1189 miles so far and the oil & filter have been changed twice, once at 100m and again at 700m. At the time of the oil changes the cylinder heads were re-torqued and the rockers adjusted. Next scheduled service is at 3,000 miles.

I am offering this bike for sale at $14,500 and the sale will include a New Hampshire title in my name, a pair of locking panniers, and a BMW tool kit and BMW first aid kit.

Only serious people need inquire.
