Works Performance BMW R1100RT Rear Coilover Shock with ARS -- Freshly Rebuilt!

Freshly rebuilt by me. Every internal and external rubber part has been replaced with a new one for a full rebuild. Shaft wiper is from Penske Racing, rebound screw and mount bushing O-rings are new blue nitrile butyl rubber rings, and all internal rubber parts plus the high-pressure Schrader valve core and bottom-out bumper are from Evolution Suspension Products. I carefully took the shock apart, replaced all of these parts using soft tools, cleaned and reconditioned it to usable condition, and reassembled it. I then charged it with 250psi of argon gas. This shock needs nothing and is ready for installation on your machine.

Mounting bolts and nuts are not included.

This shock is set up with Works Performance's stock spring rates and valving. This means it is properly sprung and valved for a rider of approximately 175 pounds on a BMW R1100RT and will fit all years and trims of the R1100RT. This will not fit R1150RT motorcycles as those have a different lower mount for the rear shock. This shock not correctly sprung or valved for the R850R, R1100R, or R1100RS, even though its mounting dimensions are the same.

This shock features threaded main spring preload at both ends, and the Adjustable Rate Spring feature. The travel range of the smaller secondary spring is adjustable via the collar on the lower clevis of the shock, which actively changes the overall spring rate behavior of the shock. This allows the shock to behave optimally for a wide range of loads and change quickly from the right spring rate for solo riding to one for two-up riding.
