This is an export model with chrome wheels and alloy fenders. It always gets a lot of attention at shows and meets.

I hold a clear PA Antique title. I have a proof of age document from the AJS & Matchless owners club in the UK, who maintains the original shipping records.

I have owned this bike since 1987 (31 years) and it has been garage kept and well maintained; it is a weekly rider.

It is mostly original. The petrol tank is a NOS from a 1957 model that has a few dents and dings, but it has the original paint and decals. The side panels were purchased from the AJS/Matchless owners club in the UK and chromed locally.

Recent work:

2016 – generator rebuilt and solid-state voltage regulator installed. I have the original voltage regulator

2015 - The front wheel was completely rebuilt with a new hub and axle. The rim was re-chromed and the it was re-laced with stainless spokes by Buchanans. New brake shoes were installed and bedded.

2014 – wiring harness replaced, carb rebuilt, new chain

Pre-2014:

Clutch rebuilt, it only has about 600 miles on it

Rear wheel re-laced and re-chromed.

Magneto rebuilt

Top-end and piston rings freshened. Engine only has ~600 miles since that was done

Jampots rebuilt

Exhaust system replaced in 1988, it’s in fair shape with a few chrome flakes. I added baffled to soften the exhaust

Not ridden road from 1992 to 2005 because I had small children and didn’t have the time

Mileage:

I’m not quite sure. When I originally titled it, the odometer indicated ~25K miles. I used that mileage to submit for the new title and it was rejected. Rather than argue with them, I told them it had 125,000 miles.
