1983 BMW R65LS, 13K miles, recent refresh, new tires/brakes, original and complete

From the design hand of Hans Muth, the R65LS is a nimble mid-size sport tourer with a timeless physique. The R65LS accepts the challenge offered by Rustic Roads in Wisconsin; narrow bars and aggressive cornering. A recent refresh lapped the valves, replaces gaskets, cerakote pipes and coated wheels. Fresh oil and filter, along with brake pads and fluid. An unseasonably warm December patch enabled a few days of riding after Christmas - it's ready to ride. Original owner purchased the bike @ South Sound BMW in Tacoma, WA, then relocated to Sacramento, CA. Second owner from Delafield, WI flew to Sacramento and rode the bike to WI 2-up. Third owner as of June 2020 kept this bike relevant and rolling. Roughly 1,700 of these bikes came to the U.S. between 1981 - 1985.
There are a few bikes from the early 1980's that elicit the compelling case to set aside life's "have to's" and draw you into a "get to". This is one of those "get to" bikes.
