Description
I’ve had a hard time getting myself to sell this bike, because I know I’ll never find another. But at my age, the slightly more aggressive posture is no longer ideal. I purchased this bike for a fly & ride from the Los Angeles area in 2021 and rode it home to NJ. It was an excellent ride. The bike has two BMW Din ports, heated grips and a Corbin heated seat – all work well. It has an adjustable shield, and adjustable bar back risers for the bars. It has a Throttlemeister throttle lock which mostly works but could use new bushings. The shield is adjustable. It has LED riding lights and a large capacity Givi top box along with serviceable, lockable BMW panniers. It includes a BMW tank bag made for the bike (which can be plugged in with the included cable and has two additional power ports and a map light). Underneath is a SW-Motech EVO tank ring if you prefer something smaller. It also includes a Garmin mount for a Zumo 396 GPS (and perhaps some other models, GPS not included). The bike also includes an original rider’s manual and BMW service manual along with a toolkit. There are two keys for everything. It also includes a Kisan Signalminder, which is an automatic canceler for the turn signals, as well as flashing all of the rear lights when you pull in the brake. It’s a great system.

I purchased the bike with a rebuilt title – to get it, the bike was inspected by the California Highway Patrol (prior to my ownership). I’m not sure what was done, but it couldn’t have been too much as the bike handled and ran extremely well across the country. Given the lack of graphics on the plastic side panels, I’d guess they were replaced. Tires and battery are in good shape.

There is some oil seepage – and I’ve not found from where it is coming. I did have the left valve cover gasket replaced (previous owner had used a gasket sealer) and that seemed to help. It is small, not even a drip. But it is there.

Because of that and the rebuilt title, it is priced for a quick sale at $1500 (firm). This is a really good bike and I hate to let it go. But it should be ridden more than I’ve been riding it. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions. Thanks for looking.
