This vest is lightweight and well ventilated but adds protection around your back, ribs, and midsection that is hard to find in traditional jackets. Unlike very expensive CARTRIDGE ACTIVATED COLLISION VESTS OR JACKETS, this is light weight, breathable and is always protecting you. It does not rely on certain peramiters to be met to be activated. I have tried both and this is the one I want to wear on every ride as it provides great protection over your jacket of choice and is light weight and breathable. It is highly adjustable and once on you don't know its there. This vest is in very good condition. There is a slight sun fade to the material on the upper back around the color area as that is the area where the sun is most direct. Whether snowmobiling, road or off-road motorcycling, this is a must have piece of gear. I got it specifically for protection for my lower ribs. New, these sell for $430.
