This fully adjustable shifter is a really well designed product that not only allows you to adjust its length to work with your boot size but also minimizes damage if the bike is dropped on its left side thanks to the spring action on the toe piece that allows it to fold in. Further, it has incorporated a safety wire that will catch the gear shifter if parts loosen and it falls off. I have been on group rides where this has happened to three different people and the ones with the OEM shift lever lost them and the Wunderlich one hung in place by the safety wire.
