1978 BMW R100/7

My 1978 R100/7 was purchased new by me from a BMW dealership in Minnesota. Old age has taken its toll on many of the required functions to ride safely so it has come time to let go. Most of the 58355 miles were ridden by me. The bike is nearly original including the ignition, drive train, brakes and Avus black paint with blue striping. The EZ Berg seat and Reynolds Ride-Off center stand are exceptions. Yes, those are the original exhaust pipes carefully “blued” as was the custom at the time.
The bike has always serviced by a BMW certified motorcycle mechanic using BMW certified parts as needed. Recently a complete mechanical inspection was performed by a BMW dealership in Montana. The fuel delivery system was cleaned, and fuel lines replaced. The ignition system was tuned up with new parts, the oil was changed, and the wheel bearings were replaced. Dunlop tires were also installed at that time.
