78 R80/7

For sale is a 1978 BMW R80/7. I have owned the bike since 1990. I have the clean Minnesota title for it. I put 40000 miles on it and in 2003 I parked it. It has been sitting in the same place in my garage since then. The engine was dual plugged with hardened seats when I bought it. The only issues I ever had with the bike were a charging system rotor that failed and rear wheel bearings. As the pictures show the bike has a Rabid Transit fairing. There are some scratches on the right side from a parking lot tip over. No structural damage. The pictures also show that the bike was converted to dual front disc brakes with the blue calipers and RS wheels with the blue pinstripes. I am not sure where the fork brace came from. The bike is in good shape for it's age and mileage. Also included are the Krauser bags. I have the keys and the locks work. There is a tool kit and two original BMW shop towels and two crate tie down straps. I almost forgot, the original tire pump is there. Because the bike has been sitting for over 20 years it really needs some TLC before use but I did pull the oil pan off and cleaned it and then started the motor last year. The pictures show exactly how it sits but if there is any interest I can pull the bike out for better pictures. I am asking $2500. Let me know if you have any questions.
